Mission Statement
About Us
Who Are We?

We represent pro-life citizens from over 8 counties in the region, making our organization one of the largest pro-life organizations in the State of Ohio.  We focus our efforts first and foremost at the local level to achieve local solutions and then cooperate with the state and national pro-life efforts as directed and needed.

Cleveland Right to Life is an autonomous organization.  We are not and never have been a chapter of any other Right to Life Organization.
We do however cooperate proactively  with all Local, State & National ProLife Organizations including the Ohio Right to Life Society, and  National Right to Life to promote the prolife agenda and to promote the dignity of all human life.

WE believe that all human beings are made in the image of the Creator and must be respected and protected from the moment of conception until natural death.  We know to be true that human rights begin when human life begins, as affirmed in the Declaration of Independence.

So as to foster a culture of life we promote and defend the right to life of all innocent human beings and reject such practices as abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, and same-sex marriage that are contrary to “the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God”.
Why The Family is Key to Our Overall Success to Protect and Defend All Human Life From Conception Until Natural Death:

In recognition of the threat to the child’s basic human rights imposed by the attempt to redefine the family, CRTL’s board of directors have expanded the mission of the organization to include a defense of marriage as a union between a man and a woman that is then open for the procreation of human life.

Every human life is created by the sexual union of male and female.   Science and religion have consistently affirmed that the child is happiest and best served physically and mentally, in the stable family consisting of their mother and father.

Every child has a right to be nurtured by their mother and their father by the very nature of natural law which provides the best outcomes for the child and for society.

Therefore CRTL knowing these facts to be true from consistent scientific studies and religious doctrine dating back to Aristotle and before, will promote the rights of the child to be nurtured and grow up in the best and most stable environment possible which is in a stable home with a mother and father who are committed to each other and their children through the recognized societal contract of marriage.
Our Goal

To serve those whose right to life is vulnerable and to work with those who share a common desire to preserve the sanctity of life
How will we do this?

By restoring legal protection to innocent human life at all stages.  We will do so by eliminating practices such as abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and same-sex "marriage" and are also concerned with related matters of medical ethics which relate to the right to life issues of euthanasia and infanticide.  We oppose contraception in that in most instances, pregnancy is avoided by the use of methods that do not rule out the destruction of human life at it’s earliest stages.  We promote chastity within all human sexual relationships, and will encourage at all times a stable environment within which to nuture children i.e. a committed married relationship between a man and a woman.
To achieve our Goals we will do the following:

1.Cut the abortion rate in greater Cleveland by 5% over the next two years

2.Implement education programs in schools and universities and community/business colleges that will promote our goal

3.Promote the primacy of Life Issues for individuals to consider when they exercise their right to vote.

4.Educate northeast Ohio citizens on the malice and extent of attacks on innocent human life that may occur through such actions as abortion, infanticide, embryonic manipulation, and euthanasia, and provide full knowledge of the scientific and emotional outcome of children raised in same sex “marriage”

5.Cooperate with individuals or organizations in the Greater Cleveland area who are seeking to provide non-violent, peaceful protection of innocent human life

6.Promote effective legislation to achieve these ends and secure enforcement of relevant statutes

7.Promote such activities in religious and secular groups
